Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell an award for the Best Report of the year Award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell's current role as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's covered occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
